Crowley Louisiana December 2 Miss Dora Murff was convicted of manslaughter and her stepfather James S Duvall was found guilty of murder with no capital punishment imposed. Dora's half brother Alice Duvall was freed while they faced the murder charge in the death of J M Delthaye Dora's sweetheart
In Bingham Utah December 2 the search for Ralph Lopez the six man killer continued with officers flooding the mine entrance with fumes and wet gunpowder and sulphur in a bid to smoke him out. Despite efforts a dash for liberty did not occur prompting belief he has found a gasproof refuge.
Percy Trainor, ten years old, had both legs amputated after being struck by an Iron Mountain train near the molasses factory around 1 PM. The boy, living with his family on Orange Street, was playing on the track and is in critical condition.
