Monroe Temple No 1 Pythian Sisters held a Monday night meeting in Castle Hall. Forty seven Sisters and Knights attended the meal and 12 visiting Sisters from Friendship Temple No 3 joined a class initiation. Five dollars were voted to the Good Fellows Fund and aid given for Good Fellows boxes.

Injured Man Involved In West Monroe Crash Remains Unconscious
O. B. Brown 65 of Monroe remains unconscious after a head on collision on highway 80 near West Monroe. His son Percy Brown — also injured — was improving. W D Higdon 35 of Jackson driver of the butane truck escaped unharmed. Both Browns were hospitalized with serious injuries. Police await causes of the crash.

Seven Teen Boys Arrested in New Jersey Theft Club
Seven teenage youths ages 13 to 16 are custody in Newark in a dues paying theft ring that netted about 3000 dollars over two years. Police say the group hid loot at the leader’s cellar, stole seven guns, recovered 15 joyride cars, and used pin boy work to justify funds. Names withheld per state law.
