Girl Ice Man Rival of Famous Grange from Neshaminy
Neshaminy Falls Pa August 28 By I N S Red Grange the Illinois halfback has a rival not on the gridiron but as an ice distributor. The rival is 19 year old Peggy Nuneviller known as Red, who with her sister loads about eight tons of ice daily and ten tons on Saturdays. She drives the truck to fetch stock and has been Neshaminy’s ice man for two years. She works in a Philadelphia factory in winter and hopes to try football someday despite admitting it may be harder than carrying ice.
