Detectives said the suspect admitted traveling to Pittsburgh after learning of his wife’s alleged affair and to Little Rock by car. Witnesses placed him near the airport and in the house before the morning discovery.
Washington report notes a misstep at a ladies luncheon when Mrs Charles Cassell misnamed Pat Nixon wife of the Nixon campaign candidate. The ceremony nearly implied Pat Nixon would be First Lady before the election cycle fully began.
