Four of five non union barber shops in Monroe were hit by stink bombs last night. Police say L V Tarver will lead the investigation and names the affected shops as Jasper s Five Point Jackson street shop Glass shop and Mc Lemore s shop with Russell s shop untouched. Two bombing methods were used. some bombs were thrown at windows while others were forced under doors or through mail slots. The stink fluid is described as a mix of sulphur and sulphuric acid, leaving a long lasting odor until time or thorough cleaning removes it. The incidents mark the third time in recent weeks that low price shops have been targeted.
