The Office of Emergency Preparedness released a partial list of official answers to questions about the 90 day wage, price and rent freeze. The guidance covers rents, services, commissions, insurance, utilities, taxes, tuition and enforcement mechanisms.
In Jackson Mississippi a 20 minute gun battle erupted as city and federal officers attempted to arrest four at the Republic of New Africa headquarters. Three officers were wounded two city officers and an FBI agent. tear gas flushed suspects from the building. Seven others were arrested. four including ANA president Imari Obadele were later detained.
British commandos clash with IRA elements in Brandyswell cemetery near Londonderry core of the IRA in the area. One civilian dies atop a grave amid 23 gunfights, with an army snatch squad recovering a body and youths fleeing in a car. In Belfast police and FBI raids follow a daylight robbery spree linked to the IRA, with several arrests and weapon seizures.
