Dr Hood Rites Set for Wednesday in Louisiana Parish

An obituary notice recounts Dr. Hood who settled in Jackson parish after arriving in 1842 and practicing medicine from age 21 in 1891. He ran a drug store, retired to Monroe in 1923, and held church and Masonic memberships. Survived by four brothers and two sisters, he never married. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. M. I.
