Thomas H. G. Child of Davenport a World War veteran and Palmer School of Chiropractic graduate lies in critical condition at St Francis sanitarium. Doctors say only operation offers a slim chance of survival and the skull fracture may have resulted from being struck or from a fall after a train incident. Authorities believe the injury occurred about three days ago and that he was possibly thrown from a freight train.
