Minor Thefts and Burglaries Occupy Local Police

West Monroe officers booked Jack Smith of Good Hope Road for burglary after a man seen fleeing the home of Mrs. Marvin Smith on Wilson Street around 11:50 am Wednesday. Investigations also include a theft from a soft drink machine at Cruse Lion Service Station and a missing watch and cigarettes from Lamond Whitten at 706 Pine Street. Ouachita Parish deputies arrested four youths in a dragline theft at Lazarre Point, naming Lloyd Stephens and John H. Harner among them. two younger suspects, 14 and 16, remain in a juvenile detention home.
