Shoestring Well May Prove Big Producer in El Dorado
Railroad men including a West Monroe conductor back a promising El Dorado field well. Drilled on the smallest lease, the Shoestring Well is estimated at 5,000 barrels with a five-eighths inch choke, potentially 20,000 barrels if fully opened. The lease belongs to W B and C C Landrum, part of a two and a half acre tract in section 17 18 15, with the well boiling for 75 minutes before oil spilled down the hillside.
