Miss Mary Katherine Carey of Pickens Arkansas, bride-elect of Darrell Freeman of Dumas Arkansas, was feted at a prenuptial shower Saturday July 28 from 4 to 6 PM at the Oak Ridge home of Mrs. James McLendon. About eighty guests attended as plans for the August 25 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Dumas were shared.

Plans for National Women’s Week were discussed and a Senior Citizen’s Bazaar event was noted for October 27 co sponsored by Ouachita Council and the Monroe BPW Club. Membership certificates were presented to several members.
Emily May and Douglas Caldwell plan to marry at First United Methodist Church West Monroe at 5 p m August 11. A prenuptial shower honored Miss May on July 28 at the Arlington Drive home of Mrs Jeff Caldwell Sr with 75 guests and hostesses including Miss Debbie Buckner and Mrs Harry Howell.
