G Douglas Williams of the Ouachita parish health unit reports several recent dog bite cases. He urges confining biting dogs for two weeks to check for rabies and says bitten persons should seek prompt medical attention and report all incidents to the health department.
W S Bizzell of the Louisiana Rating and Fire Prevention bureau and Oscar Beling of the Royal Liverpool group spoke on agency systems and accounting as delegates prepared to depart after a highly regarded convention.
Commander A H Addons steers the Moffett as it anchors off Pilot Town near the gulf. The president travels from New Orleans toward Galveston with a destroyer escort and a temporary White House staff aboard to oversee official acts during the voyage. A judge initially ruled for the Hughes foster parents, but Circuit Judge J. M. Jackson reversed, ordering Billy Jo back to her biological parents once the school year ends in Elaina Ark.
Second year typing winner Bobby Frazer of Merryville and John Goodwin of Plain Dealing placed first and second respectively. Violet Anders of Tioga finished third. In clothing and textiles Jo nie Stark of Merryville took first with Ver. McLaurin of Pickering second and Joy Mae Sartin of Tioga third.
