The twenty third annual Louisiana State Chapter PEO convention in New Orleans named officers for the coming year including President Mrs. E. J. Lacombe and 2nd vice president Mrs. W. W. Gray. Delegates from Monroe attended and scholarships to Tulane University will fund two students, Rina Girard and Yolanda Marciacq, with a broader history of the Peace Scholarship Fund noted.
