In Columbia on April 29 the seven Missouri schools forming the Junior College Union began training for a May track meet. Dashes hurdles high jump and other events are on the program as teams from each school prepare to compete.

Cedric Aldridge died at St. Francis sanitarium after a long pneumonia illness tied to exposure from a house fire that destroyed his mother’s home two weeks earlier. The body was sent to Bastrop for interment on the early morning A. L. and G. train. He is survived by his young wife and his mother.
