Fighting Is Terrific Enemy Gains Made at Frightful Cost
Two American soldiers wounded near Leicheprey were found alive in a No Man's Land dugout after a prolonged bombardment. Another soldier buried for three days surfaced as Red Cross workers found him. German shells had smashed the dugout and the Red Cross flag was fired upon.
