A man identified as R. Tinsley died from an accidental gunshot while tossing books on a bed when a weapon discharged. The incident is being investigated by local authorities with no foul play suspected at this time.
Robert Tinsley, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. J B Tinsley, near West Monroe, died instantly yesterday afternoon when a rifle leaning by a bed discharged. The accident occurred after he returned from school with books and tossed them onto the bed. Coroner C P Gray ruled it accidental. funeral planned at the family home with burial nearby.
Helena Arkansas April 23 2000 negro women and girls among flood refugees suffer in relief efforts as clothing distributions lack a single petticoat. The women plead that they have no warm undergarments and question how white volunteers keep warm.
