Louisiana medics return from New Orleans meeting

Fourteen men convicted in Arkansas jail conspiracy case

Col Shelton Dead Confederate Veteran From Bastrop
Colonel William Shelton of Bastrop, a Confederate veteran, died this morning at his Bastrop home at 11 o'clock. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at 4 PM, with Ouachita parish veterans invited to attend and pay tribute to their deceased comrade. A message advised Mrs. E L Owens of the death.

Tax Sale Delayed After Postponement Order Issued
Sheriff Arthur Grant of Ouachita parish received an order postponing advertising property for non payment of 1920 taxes until June 30. The constitutional convention resolution of April 6 grants about two more months to pay taxes before sale, pushing the sale date to about August 6.
