Homecoming of Vets Planned for Thompson Wood Lee Camp

Thompson Wood Lee camp No. 9 United Spanish War Veterans and its auxiliary announce a homecoming at camp headquarters 109 1-2 South Grand Street on April 30. A 9 p.m. to midnight benefit dance at Knights of Pythias hall on St John Street will fund the memorial room at G. B. Cooley tuberculosis sanatorium and beautify the veterans plot at River view Burial park. The day’s program includes invocations, addresses, musical selections, an old fiddlers contest, a luncheon, and a river boat trip to Pine Top aboard Mr. Cooley’s yacht. Participating veterans are urged to bring fiddles. prizes will be awarded for the top fiddler.
