Physician and Saloon Keeper Die After Desperate Fight
In Batchelor Louisiana Dr B W Inman of Morganza shot and killed local saloon keeper Mr Brown during an argument over a debt. Brown was struck through the abdomen and died within minutes after a second wound to the arm. Brown’s son Joe Brown was also wounded in the arm. Inman fled toward Morganza and was not yet arrested. An inquest was held and the body will be sent to Jackson.
