Suspect Sought in West Monroe Homicide
West Monroe police issued an all points bulletin for Charlie Lee Carter 25 in a fatal shooting of Fred Lee Carter at his North 6th and Benson residence. The shooting occurred around 7:40 a.m. when Carter allegedly answered a door delivery. Carter was found dead 20 yards from the home. a blue steel revolver is suspected. The suspect is described as 6 feet 1 inch, 155 pounds with a medium afro and medium complexion, last seen in a maroon coat and blue pants.

High Speed Chase Across Parishes Ends in Ruston Crash
A 35 minute chase starting in Monroe at 11 35 a m ended in Ruston when a 17 year old Monroe driver Mark K Bryan lost control at La 33 and Hwy 80, hitting a pole. An unname juvenile female passenger escaped injury. Bryan to face multiple traffic charges and contributing to delinquency of a minor. Agencies involved include West Monroe PD Ouachita Parish Sheriff State Police Lincoln Parish Sheriff Ruston City Police. The run away was handed to juvenile authorities.
