Lone Star Haas Dies In Elevator Shaft Tragedy
Omaha obit notes Fred M. Haas known as Lone Star a veteran Indian fighter and frontier scout died last night when crushed in an elevator shaft at the World-Herald plant where he served as night watchman. He earned fame in 1876 at Powder River and was famed for the cross arm draw and hammer fanning.
