Cincinnati announces right handed pitcher Bud Podbielan has been outrighted to Seattle of the Pacific Coast League after being released by the Redlegs on Monday night.

Neville had two hits each from Linda Eby Lyn Zoll Beanie Terrell Sara Sue Stovall and Jo Ann Cupples. The two teams meet again tomorrow at 2 pm at West Monroe.

Crowville High opened district play with a 6 3 victory over Winnsboro as Miller Watson pitched three hits allowed three runs. Crowville collected seven hits led by John Donnell while Burk McDuff suffered the loss for Winnsboro. Winnsboro travels to Fort Necessity Tuesday then hosts Crowville Friday.
Nevill High School cheerleaders plan a public auction on May 1 at Neville auditorium to raise about 1700 dollars for their defending state double A football champions training camp. The event follows a 500 dollar cake auction and features Coach Bill Ruple as auctioneer with Monroe merchants donating items.
