Girl in Louisiana City Dies by Own Action After Poison Attempt
Hula McVicker a 21 year old stenographer from Marion Louisiana swallowed three bichloride of mercury tablets and called an ambulance. She was taken to St Francis sanitarium in critical condition but showed signs of relief after some poison was pumped from her stomach. Her recovery depended on how much poison was absorbed. Her parents and siblings traveled through heavy rain to Monroe to be with her.
