Injuries Fatal To Arkansas Man Hurt Near Here
Vernon B. Keating 77 of Camden Arkansas died Thursday morning from injuries suffered in a March 19 traffic wreck that left seven injured when a car overturned about 15 miles north of Monroe on the Sterlington Farmerville road. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at noon Thursday. Keating had a severe head injury and a mangled right arm. The other six victims have been released from the hospital.

Plea Of Guilty By Youth In Plane Theft
Charles Wilbur West 18 of Wichita Kansas pleaded guilty in federal court to transporting an airplane across state lines. He received a suspended sentence with five years supervisory probation and must complete electronics courses and reimburse plane damages. West was arrested March 20 after landing the stolen craft at Selman Field while en route from Jacksonville Florida where he was stationed in the Marine Air Corps to visit his ill mother.
