Negro Slayer of Miss Police Officer Captured in Vicksburg
Richard Bridges, a 21 year old Negro, is jailed in Hinds county on charges of murdering Vicksburg patrolman Robert Forbish. He was captured by a posse after a shootout that left the officer dead Sunday night. Rewards totaling 450 were offered, including 250 by Governor Murphree.
