The Central Trades and Labor Council observes Army Week with a Friday night showing of U S Army war films at Labor Temple 108 1/2 St John St starting 8 o clock. Attendance is limited to union members and families with no admission fee and the council will skip its regular meeting. A color sound film America the Beautiful will be shown, loaned by the New Orleans office of the Treasury Department Savings Bond division.

A minuet performed by two fourth grade pupils closed the treasury report presented by Mrs. C. H. Tait. Officers elected for the coming year include Mrs. Ellis Snipes as president and Mrs. L. E. Hampton as vice president.
