A company of American troops near Archangel hesitated to return to the front south of Archangel saying the war with Germany was over and the United States was not at war with Bolsheviks. The regimental commander appealed to them to continue fighting, stressing army traditions.
Paris April 10 The press in Paris quoted British sources saying the peace terms would not be presented to the plenary session until after communication to German representatives. The American mission issued a statement opposing such a plan prompting comment from delegates not on the Council of Four.
Fire early today destroyed the main store of A. M and J. Solari on Royal and Therville streets in New Orleans. Loss about 100000 dollars. The fire origin is undetermined. A heavy wind toppled a newly erected grandstand at the Pair rounds race track.

A warrant charges Lela Stokes with shooting William Stokes in their Adams Street home about 8 p m last Friday. Four shots were fired with one hitting the husband in the ear and neck.
