Washington April 10 Senator Jones portrayed Col Roosevelt as Pilate in a Detroit speech condemning Lorimer supporters He argued the public mood drives political action and warned that following such a rule would erode judicial independence He pressed that judges must apply law and evidence not public sentiment
The Pittsburgh Club released pitcher Grover to the Hartford club in Connecticut and sent pitcher Everett and outfielder Irvin to Montreal.
Secretary E W Anderson received a Weather Bureau telegram noting the Conachita will change little and 44.5 feet will be reached by April 15. In Vicksburg crowds watched dikes all night as banks held steady and Greenville dike reports proved false, easing flood crest fears.
