Louisiana Civil Defense women to demo emergency services
Alexand civil defense teams across Louisiana will demonstrate emergency home protection and volunteer manpower at Camp Mil-Mar Alexandria May 5 6. State director Francis A Woolfley and Mrs Marion H Porch coordinate the action program with participation from Calcasieu Parish Central Louisiana Welsh Vivian Monroe and Red Cross units in a women led workshop featuring demonstrations in emergency sanitation fire fighting emergency lighting load handling equipment and home nursing along with canteen service and first aid. Winters will review police services and a communications exercise while Reece M Kolb outlines aims for the Louisiana Civil Defense Staff College set for July 21 23.
