Jordan proposes UN plan to ease Arab-Israeli crisis
Jordanian Foreign Minister Mohham Ahbdib Ameri announced on Amman radio that Jordan will submit a UN proposal. He said the plan could offer a practical solution addressing Israeli occupied western Jordan and Jerusalem status, but gave no details.

Northeast student awarded Rotary Graduate Fellowship
Gloria J. Abraham of Monroe, a Northeast Louisiana State College mathematics student, receives the Rotary Foundation Graduate Fellowship for International Understanding for 1968-69. Colorfall designer sees fountain here in Monroe
Harold Steinman, designer of the Symphonic Colorfall Fountain at Monroe’s Civic Center, calls the fountain beautiful and unbelievable for the price. He met the Civic Center Commission Council after a visit and received civic jewelry as a gift. Steinman, famed for Dancing Waters and Expo 67 works, noted Monroe’s center as a sign of progress before heading to New York and Montreal.
