Adventist Church Damaged by Fire in New Orleans
Fire from an overheated attic during services badly damaged the Seventh Day Adventist church at Camp and Race streets. Pastor Rev. L. John Cartwright, 49, a former oil promoter, was brought to New Orleans from Biloxi Mississippi and placed under bonds totaling 16 500 to face embezzlement and check charges in several states.
