L. B. Faulk Post To Meet Tonight
The L. B. Faulk post of the American Legion will assemble at the memorial home in Forsythe Park tonight at 8 o clock. Commander Gilbert Faulk urges a strong membership drive and discusses plans for hosting the Freedom Train visit to Monroe in January. Armistice Day services are planned as a memorial for fallen soldiers. Veterans should bring discharge copies when applying. The school will be held in the former Jackson Motors building, now bought by Mr King.

Fire Crews Contain Grass Fires in City Areas
Fire alarms report Company 4 extinguished a grass fire at 1114 Mississippi Street at 5 12 p m Sunday. Another grass blaze prompted Company 3 to respond 3 miles out on Swartz Highway at 4 p m Sunday but firemen said there was nothing that could be done. A third grass fire at the corner of Winnsboro and Mississippi Streets was put out by Company 4 at 12 15 p m Sunday.
