Roy L. Fisher aged 55 of 1303 North Third Street died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital. Funeral services set for Monday in Kansas City Missouri with overland shipment of remains. Born July 3, 1897 in Hannibal Missouri he earned a LLB from Cumberland University and worked in the oil industry in Shreveport and later Monroe where he was an independent oil operator with holdings across Louisiana Mississippi Texas and Oklahoma. He was active in Masonic Lodge Knights Templar and Ararat Temple Shrine. Surviving are his widow Marion Kirk Fisher and son Roy Kirk Fisher both of Monroe.
