Earl E Bradford of Walters filed for state representative replacing Grover C Womack of Manifest who had not filed. Incumbents Richardson and McGufee filed for clerk of court and tax assessor. Three filed for sheriff including Fairbanks of Jonesville Taliaferro of Sicily Island and Good of Harrisonburg. N G Nasif of Jonesville posted his fee for coroner race. Ward races show multiple filings. several incumbents had not filed.
