Harvest Day fund drive urged for Ruston Methodist orphanage
All Methodists and friends are asked to contribute to the Harvest Day fund for the Ruston Methodist orphanage. The orphanage serves 171 boys and girls with its own school through sixth grade and sends older students to Ruston public schools and Louisiana Tech. The institution relies on twice yearly donations at Easter and in October to cover operating costs.

Trinity Methodist Church in Ruston installs pipe organ
The new Trinity Methodist church in Ruston is nearing completion with pews carpets and the pipe organ installed and ready for use. The church will christen the edifice with Dr J B Harris and Miss Mary James marriage on October 20 at 8 p m conducted by Rev Guy M Hicks. Harris a Tu lane medical school graduate has practiced in Ruston seven years and the Jameses active church members helped fund the building and fixtures. The congregation has paid all debts and plans for a dedication are under consideration.
