Drunk Driving Charges Filed Against Two Monroe Men
Two local men were arrested by Monroe police on drunk driving charges. Wilson Degeyter, 50, of 4200 South Grand, posted 500 bond and faces city court on November 9 for operating while intoxicated and disturbing the peace. John H. Youth 11 Severely Hurt After Fall From Tree
An 11-year-old Monroe boy was reported “much better” at St Francis Hospital after a foil from a sycamore tree left him critically injured Friday. Gary Boyd, son of Miro and Mrs Coy A Boyd of Parcoud Drive, fell about 15 to 20 feet and sustained no fracture, while his parents said he had been swinging from a climb by his legs when the accident occurred around 4:53 p.m.
