Laurel Mississippi June 27 Roy Ford a rural Smith county farmer was thrilled over a bag containing 142 625 in army end navy government bonds from British Columbia believed to be his but delivery records showed the bonds were meant for his neighbor Roy W Ford the Mize druggist The mix up caused village excitement as Miss Kendall Eaton Belhaven college student said the bonds were transferred to the second Ford and townspeople prayed the fortune was rightful If confirmed the bonds would fund two brick churches in Mize to aid worship and the case highlights the common sweepstakes practice of paying prizes in bonds.

Perryville native Mr. Perry dies after long illness

A Perryville resident and community leader, born in Keatchie Louisiana in 1861, died after illness following an operation. Survived by his widow, three daughters Mrs G E McKenzie, Mrs H A Monk of Monroe, Miss Rupert Perry of Perryville, and three sons Mose Wesley and J W Perry, all of Perryville. He was a member of Monroe First Methodist Church.

Funeral Services For Three Relatives Held At Home

Two sisters Mrs L B Hayden Sr of Shreveport and Mrs Ella Sample of Arkansas, and brother Oliver A Perry of Los Angeles, Calif, are remembered as the survivors. The funeral is set for this afternoon at 4 at the family home with ministers Rev D C Barr, Rev D L O Neal and Rev W C Scott officiating.
