Negro Community Group Names New Officers
New officers of the colored community welfare organization under the Twin City community chest were announced at a recent meeting called by secretary Mary Mullis. Elected were M. J. Foster as chairman, R. O. Pierce treasurer, P. C. Keal vice chairman, plus ministers Allen Pierce Wilson McCrory and others including Ella Adams Marion Jones Sallie Thompson Lucile Howard Evelyn King Katie Carroll Mary Cox Terrie Dyer and Marie Penn filling the late I Garland Penn’s director and secretary role. The group’s office remains at Martin Temple church 1904 Adams Street.
