Boy Lost 30 Hours Returns From Wilderness
In Fort Frances Ontario a 10 year old boy wandered off during a blueberry picking trip and was missing for over 30 hours. Provincial Police marshalled 300 ground searchers and four planes until the boy was found cold and scared but alive. He recalled sitting on a rock and pulling out a loose tooth in the dark.

Agricultural airplane flight demo at Selman Field Monroe
A new agricultural aircraft designed for seeding fertilizing dusting and spraying will be demonstrated at 11 a m July 24 at Selman Field Monroe. Fully qualified pilots may fly it and the public may inspect. The plane features low speed control high visibility reinforced gear and safety design. It is a joint project funded by the Civil Aeronautics Administration the U S Department of Agriculture the National Farmers Association and Texas A and M with Texas A and M overseeing construction and Fred Weick directing the design at the Personal Aircraft Research Center.

After a prayer the Refreshment Committee served hot tamales crackers cole slaw pineapple sherbet cake and ice cream The speaker Reverend David Jones of Grace Episcopal Church spoke on World War II and noted George Patton and Jones served as chaplain during the war A new committee slate for August 9 1951 was announced with Coonie Kiper as Refreshment and Program Chairman and A C Beale as Program Chairman.

Madge Zumbro and Evelyn Sandifer will leave Oak Grove Louisiana on Monday for a three day 4H Club short course in Baton Rouge. A caravan of West and East Carroll parish club members will travel by school bus. Evelyn took first in a cotton slip and a cotton school dress while Madge won health in Achievement Day. Both are tenth graders and will return Thursday.
