Judith Ann Cathey 20 of Lake Providence declined the title to marry her fiancé James Robert Cook of Jonesboro. She passed the crown to Linda Gail Baucum 18 of Springhill who plans to enter Louisiana Tech this fall. Miss Baucum and Miss Cathey are daughters of local families and the pageant included Miss North Louisiana Cotton Queen and Miss Holiday in Dixie contestants.
