Cason Dies After Brief Illness In West Monroe

E. D. Cason, a prominent West Monroe businessman and former bank president, died after a sanitarium stay. Born February 16, 1879 in Chapel Hill Tennessee, he moved to Ouachita parish in 1900 and led the mercantile firm of W. R. Mitchell, later directing West Monroe State Bank. Survived by widow, children, four siblings, and a host of relatives. Monroe introduces trichogramme minutum to combat sugar cane borer.
