Mrs Ida Headley Dies After Long Illness In Ouachita Parish
Mrs. Ida Mae Headley aged 89, longtime Ouachita parish resident, died at her daughter’s home after a long illness. She was widow of Dr. John D. Headley, a steamboat captain. Services Sunday at 3 30 p m at her daughter’s home, with Rev Grant Clark and Rev A M Fundurburk officiating. Interment Riverview Burial Park. Survived by three daughters, two sisters, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. She was descended from Lord Baltmore and had lived with her daughter eight years.

North Monroe Lions gift projector to Ouachita Parish Library
The North Monroe Lions Club donated a microfilm book projector to the Ouachita Parish Library to aid handicapped readers. Librarian Fran ces Flanders notes the device projects pages onto ceiling images, enabling immobilized users to read while lying flat. The library has received several microfilmed books and hopes to expand both the collection and projectors. the device costs about 190 dollars and books around 2.50 each.
