West Monroe man drowns in Puckett Lake
Ewell Camp Sr., 62, a West Monroe farmer, drowned in Puckett Lake north of Cheniere dam after 7 p m Friday. His body was recovered by Monroe firefighters before 2:30 a m Saturday. Coroner Dr J T French ruled accidental drowning. Camp, who could not swim, reportedly fell from his boat while trying to free it from a log.
