President W B Hatcher of Louisiana State University authorized Northeast Junior College to secure additional housing facilities for veterans. Dean Rodney Cline of NJC announced Saturday the move to enlarge on campus housing options for veterans.
An ad touts C-2223 as a pain reliever to ease discomfort and calm the mind. It claims faster rest and compares buyers to others who use the product, noting a one dollar price and a satisfaction guarantee with a battle purchase refund if not satisfied.
The university plans on campus housing for veterans with 20 singles and 28 couples to be ready for the June summer term. Lt Gen Middleton endorsed the project while Thomas Leign and Congressman McKenne aid in securing facilities. The Chamber of Commerce backs the effort as registrations rise to 125 veterans for spring and a larger summer turnout is anticipated.
Mr and Mrs W C Salley celebrate two of their three sons returning from armed service. Conrad Salley served as combat engineer in Europe and Belgium, LaVelle Salley was a technical sergeant in the Air Corps, while a third son, a first lieutenant, saw action in Europe and the Philippines. his return remains uncertain.

The Selman field facility opened about two years ago by Ouachita National Bank will be officially closed tomorrow. President Fred Millsaps announced the closing, noting the facility served many officers and men with payrolls disbursed locally. Delma A. Carter led the unit, praised for satisfactory service and letters from officials calling it the best in the country.
At a Rodney J. Hobbs Post meeting presided by C. D. Brooks, fifteen veterans who served in the Pacific and European theaters were admitted. Steve E. Powell and Robert B. Stuart joined the housing committee. drum and bugle corps gear was returned from Selman Field. Nominations for post officers are set for March 17.
