The Louisville intersection will get a new original traffic light system costing about 17500 dollars. District Engineer Wayne H Huckaby says 13 lights will provide 16 signals to manage traffic from Louisville Avenue U S 80 U S 165 De Siard Street and Powell Avenue. Seven concrete islands will be built and the project includes widening to right of way limits. The system aims to speed and improve safety with specialized wiring and district crews to install islands. Funds are in the highway budget and Central Construction Co will handle widening.
