Jboro Louisiana December 23 A 41 year old farmer J W Ashes was killed in a front yard assault. Archie Jones allegedly slashed his throat with a pocket knife following a dispute. Jones is held by parish authorities as the sheriff and coroner investigate the boisterous incident.
A four man brawl in a vacant lot near the Ouachita Citizen building West Monroe left Reese Fuller critically wounded with a knife wound to the left side and lung, while J C Brooks 19 was jailed awaiting formal charges. W E Brooks and Hugh Poe were also involved. all residents of ward seven. Witnesses cited long standing quarrels between Fuller and the elder Brooks during the bus trip into town.
