Tallulah Louisiana mourns as 23 year old Thomas Ray Jones is reported lost in action in Hawaii. A U S telegram informed Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Jones of Tallulah that their son, a midshipman and former ROTC sergeant, died after commissioning in February. He attended Louisiana State University, played football for four years, and was a Sigma Phi member. Survived by parents, two brothers Barney Jones of Morrison and another in West Palm Beach, and grandparents. Born March 11, 1918, he was active in Baptist church and graduated Tallulah High School.
