Miss Sylvia Joan Whatley and Gary Keith Nevils wed at First Baptist Lake Providence in a candlelit double ring ceremony officiated by Rev B White. The bride wore slipper satin with lace and a pearl tiara, and the couple will reside in Houma where she teaches at Houma High School and he attends Thibodeaux Junior College.
Mrs Wayne L Lofton wore a cultured pearl drop with long white gloves as she led the ceremony. The bride, a Minnesota Bible College student, and groom Frank Lofton hosted relatives from Rayville to Lake Charles for a formal reception following the church service.
Miss Doris Mae Facundus and Wayne L. Lofton were married Friday evening at Calvary Christian Church in Baton Rouge. The bride is the daughter of G. C. Facundus. the groom is from Rayville. Officiant was Hilliard Comeaux. music included I Love You Truly and The Lord's Prayer. The ceremony featured white gladioli and stock arrangements and a Sabrina neckline satin gown with an illusion veil.
