UPI reports Atlantic Citys Convention Hall once hosted mice in its 137 foot high trusses after opening in 1929. Mice arrived in corn husk packing, grew in numbers, and guards patrolling the hollow supports were kept on edge. To solve the infestation cats were employed though cat populations also grew. A guard quit after a frightening patrol through the trusses.
