A Navy recruiting and publicity party from New Orleans will present the MGM film Eyes of the Navy at Ouachita Parish High School auditorium on Thursday at 7 30 pm. The public may attend free of charge. Ensign J R Stewart Chief Petty Officer William Blessing and Storekeeper First Class Moncrief will answer questions and take enlistments at the Monroe post office Thursday and Friday. Stewart notes growth in Navy opportunities both in regular service and the naval reserve. Citizens with college, trade, or reservist interests may qualify for commissions or petty officer ratings as described. A new Navy program allows enlistment in the reserve with the same vocational training as regular Navy enlistees for the duration of the national emergency.
